Core Values
- We value the Bible as the Word of God. We believe that we are to conform to Scripture. Scripture is not meant to conform to us.
- We value an evangelical perspective on humanity's condition. All are fallen, there is none righteous. We all need the good news of Jesus Christ.
- We value the blood of the lamb. There is no salvation apart from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on our behalf.
- We value repentence. We believe it is our participation in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God gives us the opportunity to turn from our natural condition to His Holiness.
- We value mission. We are called to be living sacrifices. We dedicate ourselves to lifting up Jesus Christ to the world. We do not believe in paying some one else to do it for us. We live for Jesus.
- We value family. The body of Christ is bigger than our own four walls. We want to participate with other churches as we engage mission in this world.
We understand that some denominational structures have betrayed the core values of their churches through leadership that maintains, "The Bible does not condemn homosexuality." It is with saddness that we adress this issue. We are looking forward to the day when this is not necessary.
Because of our core value that the Bible is the Word of God, we believe that the practice of homosexuality is sin. Like every sin, when repentance mingles with the blood of the lamb, there is forgiveness and cleansing. Homosexuals, just like the rest of us sinners, can become a new creation, reformed into the image of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
